Yuulangga derives from the Gathang Aboriginal language, meaning ‘Rainbow Serpent’. Gathang is the general language of the people of the NSW Mid-North Coast of the Biripi, Gringai, and Worimi people. This is also the area in which Yuulangga was first established in 2021. The service was named Yuulangga as we strive to generate the creation in the hearts of our participants to build their own futures. The colours of the Serpent reflect all the different skills, emotions, and journeys the individuals we support pave across every stage of life.
At Yuulangga, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals participating in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Our Assistance with Daily Life services aim to support participants in managing their daily activities, fostering independence, and promoting overall well-being.
Yuulangga aims to support vulnerable individuals and families through tough circumstances while maintaining a person-focused approach. Through our service, we have a unique opportunity to assist in identifying the needs of individuals and families, and empower them to find a sense of belonging within the community and to Country.
Yuulangga is an agency designed to provide emergency quality staffing alternatives for both Government and Non-Government agencies. What makes Yuulangga unique is that our service is majority Aboriginal staff who take pride in sharing our knowledge and care across generations.
Our organization is seeking applicants who are passionate about improving the lives of young people. We are a majority Aboriginal organization, but all members of the community are encouraged to apply.
